About OnlyRx and Our Services
OnlyRx operates a technology platform that connects individuals with independent, licensed medical providers. OnlyRx is not a medical practice, does not employ healthcare providers, and does not diagnose, treat, or cure any disease or medical condition. OnlyRx does not compound, dispense, or ship medications of any kind.
Compounded Medication Program: Through the OnlyRx platform, patients may be connected with licensed healthcare providers who, when clinically appropriate, may issue prescriptions for compounded medications. Those prescriptions are then filled and shipped directly to patients by state-licensed sterile compounding pharmacies. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved. The FDA does not evaluate them for safety, effectiveness, or manufacturing quality. You should not use a compounded drug if an FDA-approved alternative is suitable for you.
FDA-Approved Branded Medications: Your provider may alternatively determine that an FDA-approved branded medication — such as Zepbound®, Ozempic®, Wegovy®, or Mounjaro® — is the right choice for you. In that case, a prescription will be issued that you may take to any pharmacy of your choosing. OnlyRx does not sell, fulfill, or ship branded medications. The cost of the consultation and prescription referral service through OnlyRx does not include the price of the medication itself, which remains your sole responsibility.
Trademarks: Zepbound® and Mounjaro® are registered trademarks of Eli Lilly and Company. Ozempic® and Wegovy® are registered trademarks of Novo Nordisk A/S. OnlyRx is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Eli Lilly or Novo Nordisk.

Understanding GLP-1 and GIP Receptor Medications
This content is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice. OnlyRx is not a medical provider or pharmacy.
GLP-1 receptor agonist medications work by mimicking a naturally occurring hormone that helps regulate appetite, slows gastric emptying, and promotes a feeling of fullness. Some formulations also target GIP receptors, which play an additional role in metabolic regulation and energy balance.
When used alongside a balanced diet and regular physical activity, these medications may support long-term weight management. Individual outcomes vary and are influenced by a number of factors including dietary habits, exercise, consistency with treatment, and each person's unique biology.

Compounded Medication Information
What You Should Know About Compounded Formulations
What Are Compounded Medications?
Compounded medications are custom-prepared formulations made by state-licensed pharmacies to meet a specific patient's needs when commercially available products are not suitable. A licensed provider reviews your case and, when appropriate, prescribes a formulation tailored to your individual requirements.
Regulatory Information
- Compounded medications have NOT been evaluated by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality.
- They do not undergo the same clinical trials required of FDA-approved drugs.
- The FDA does not verify the safety or quality of compounded products.
- They may share active ingredients with branded medications but can differ in formulation, strength, and excipients.
Potential Risks
- Quality, potency, and purity may differ between compounding pharmacies.
- May contain inactive ingredients not found in FDA-approved versions.
- May carry different or additional risks compared to approved medications.
- Long-term safety and efficacy data is limited.
When Compounded Medications May Be Appropriate
- When an FDA-approved medication is temporarily unavailable due to supply shortages.
- When a patient has a documented allergy to an inactive ingredient in an FDA-approved version.
- When a specific dose or dosage form not available commercially is required.
- When a licensed healthcare provider determines it is medically necessary for the individual patient.
Safety Monitoring
Report any side effects to your provider right away. Your provider will monitor your response to treatment on an ongoing basis. Always follow the dosage and administration instructions given by your healthcare provider.
Informed Consent
Before any compounded medication is prescribed, your medical provider will walk you through an informed consent process to confirm you understand the differences between FDA-approved and compounded medications and the associated risks.
